Tessa's Blessing, Camping, and 9 weeks old!

There has been alot going on! I will let the pictures tell the stories!

Jesse went camping and 4-wheeling with some buddies for 4 days some where out past Manti!

We had Tessa's blessing on the 8th! Her daddy got to bless her and he did an amazing job. My older sister Chantel and her family were able to come out from California. Its always so fun having them around!

My sister made a blessing dress for Tessa, but because she is so little still it didn't fit. So we put her in the dress I was blessed in! I think she liked it!

6 Weeks Old

Tessa is 6 weeks old today!!! She is so much fun and each day gets better and better! Its so amazing watching her grow. Each day we see her personality getting stronger and stronger! She loves being held, falling asleep on our chests, stretching, & chilling in the carrier! She absolutely hates her car seat, she cant sleep without her arms out of the blanket, and hates it when she isn't getting attention. She is smiling at us more and more each day, and is making cute little noises at us! As for me, I am feeling great, physical recovery was fast and easy, but the drop in hormone levels sucked. The first two weeks, I cried more then the baby! My husband didn't admit it, but I know he was thinking I had gone off the deep end. But levels have evened out now and I am loving Tessa and the time we spend together! Now its just a matter of dropping all the weight I gained. Right up to delivery I gained 40 pounds, and yes my baby was only six pounds of that.... I know right! Now that my 6 week recovery is up, I have 17 pounds to go before being at my pre-pregnancy weight. Holy crap thats a ways to go. Why am I sharing this information? Normally I don't get into what I weigh and how I eat, and exercise, but I am really excited to lose the weight. I haven't ever really been overweight and haven't needed to lose that much weight before so this is a first for me. I think reaching my goal will give me a feeling of euphoria and will be a great accomplishment! Especially because my body isn't the type that just bounces right back into shape. I have taken a before picture and it is so not pretty but I hope to post it next to my after picture in a few months. I think it will be cool to see the difference! Wish me luck! and if you have any tips let me know!! Here are some pictures of our little one!

Getting Close!

My wonderful Mom and sisters threw me an awesome baby shower!!!! I got the cutest things and so much stuff we needed!!! My sister made me the most adorable quilt I have ever seen!! I should take a picture :) and post it! Also the wonderful girls at my work threw me a shower, which was so sweet and nice of them to do! I really love where I work and the people I work with and am sad to be leaving soon, but am SOOOOO happy to be home with Tessa!! I want to thank everyone who came to the shower to support Jesse & I with this new stage in life!! I will try and get pictures of the showers posted soon!!!

We are pretty much done with Tessa's African Safari Room!! A couple of things I still would like to do, but thats if I have the time! Below are some pictures of the room and some other random things going on!

6 Weeks to go!

34 Weeks!! Whoa I can't believe I only have 6 weeks left. Give or take I guess!!

I can't believe I am going to be a mom soon!! Its so exciting!! So far I can still sleep at night, work all day, and keep up on a little exercising. I still feel really good and have been pretty surprised how well pregnancy has treated me!! I can still breathe normal, no heartburn or indigestion, just a little pain from my hips moving but other then that, I feel great! So far Jesse and I have stayed relatively positive about her being here so quick! Not that we are really "ready" for a baby because how exactly are you "ready" for that life change? But we have all we need and feel confident about being parents! It's nice not to stress about the little things that will work themselves out later. Jesse has been so positive through the pregnancy and I truly appreciate it! I can't wait to see him as a Father!!!

A little catch up!

Sorry for the lack of posts. Life is crazy as always. Jesse and I are both working alot, which is good and bad. I am working over 60 hours a week with tax season, so far it hasn't been too bad, until Sunday hits and I realized how dead I am from the long weeks. Jesse's work has picked up alot since March started as well. Here is a little catch up on the last month or so!
